In this example, we create a custom brand channel-grouping for campaigns with keyword scs

After exploring a table, click edit data-source:

Select the legacy editor

Edit the channelgrouping column and set the case statement

After this you can create a table with this new channel grouping.
If you want to use the Google Analytics standard channel groupings, please find the definitions below:

Code: Select all

CASE
WHEN
source = '(direct)'
AND
(medium = '(not set)' OR medium = '(none)')
THEN 'Direct'
WHEN
medium = 'organic'
THEN 'Organic Search'
WHEN
socialSession = 'Yes'
OR
medium ~ '^(social|social-network|social-media|sm|social network|social media)$'
THEN 'Social'
WHEN
medium = 'email'
THEN 'Email'
WHEN
medium = 'affiliate'
THEN 'Affiliates'
WHEN
medium = 'referral'
THEN 'Referral'
WHEN
medium ~ '^(cpc|ppc|paidsearch)$'
AND
adNetworkType <> 'Content'
THEN 'Paid Search'
WHEN
medium ~ ' ^(cpv|cpa|cpp|content-text)$')
THEN 'Other Advertising'
WHEN
medium ~ ^(display|cpm|banner)$')
OR
adNetworkType = 'Content'
THEN 'Display'
ELSE '(Other)'
